Neck, Shoulders & Jaw Tension: Learn to release tension from the neck, shoulders, and jaw. Easy to use, this technique is very effective. Beneficial for those who suffer from headache, insomnia, fatigue, stress, teeth grinding, and overall tension. No experience necessary. Cass is a licensed practitioner of acupressure and has been teaching since 1985. A $1 materials fee is payable at the class for each class.

Reiki is a form of healing and attunement through channeling ki, the Japanese version of chi. These attunements align and activate important energy centers in the body, increasing the healing energy to be channeled. The energy in this level works fundamentally on the physical and emotional bodies. This class will explain the nature by which it works, how the energy is channeled, and what it can be used for. The class is a combination of lecture, discussion and experience. Practice time includes giving and receiving a complete Reiki treatment using all the hand positions, and the self -treatment. A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class for each class.

T'ai Chi is a gentle, slow-motion exercise which enhances circulation, balance, mood, flexability and all-over well-being. This form has just 18 movements which may be repeated as many times as you like. Based on ancient concepts of "chi" or the essential life energy, this practice helps to regulate your energy flow and release tension. Cass has been doing T'ai Chi Chih since 1979. If you have never tried yoga, or are a beginner, this small, comfortable, one-on-one class is for you! We will focus on easy exercises, with a special emphasis on low back strength. Everyone is welcome, no matter how inflexible or limited in your range of motion you are. Most of the exercises and stretches will be done on the floor, with some standing postrues; the studio mirrors will help you do the exercises properly. Each person will work at his or her own level. Yoga mats are optional.

The routines feature interval training where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Come and dance to the music of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Samba, and more! Joanie has danced in Brazilian and African inspired dance troupes for the past 10 years. She currently teaches Zumba at the Santa Cruz Dance Company, Seascape Sports Club, and Gold’s Gym in Watsonville.
