Camp Capitola

The City of Capitola is currently accepting applications for Camp Leaders. Applications, with copies of required certifications, should be submitted to the Capitola Recreation office at 4400 Jade Street, Capitola, as soon as possible.     Camp Capitola offers a Junior Leader volunteer work-training program, for a limited number of teens, ages 14-17, who are interested in training to be a Camp Leader when they are older. Please see the Camp Capitola page when it is posted for more information on the program, and for an application.

    Junior Lifeguards

    All Junior Lifeguard instructors for summer 2012 have been hired, we are no longer accepting applications. To prepare for the next summer application process please keep in mind the requirements for our Junior Guard instructors.

    Plan Ahead: Junior Guard instructors are required to have current C.P.R./A.E.D. for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) Certification (First Responder training also fulfills the requirement). You will need to arrange for and acquire the Title 22 and C.P.R. training on your own; check with E.T.S. or visit the American Red Cross website for descriptions and locations for the classes (and note that a prerequisite for Title 22 is certification in C.P.R./A.E.D. for the Professional Rescuer).
