Adult/Teen Tennis Classes

Paul Kessler is a USPTA P1 Certified Tennis Professional who has taught with Capitola Recreation for over 6 years. Paul has more than 34 years of coaching, teaching, and playing experience. He has built a thriving tennis program designed to provide a comprehensive learning opportunity for each student. Starting as beginners, students can move step-by-step through on-going year-round classes, clinics, and private/group lessons into USTA team competition and tournament play. ADULT CLASS SCHEDULING & PRICES

• A $5 ball fee is payable to the instructor at the first class for all classes.
• Classes are held at Jade Street Park Tennis Courts.
• All classes for ages 16 years & up. (For kids classes see the Preschool & School-Age pages).

SKILL LEVELS

• BEGINNING: New to the game? Learn the fundamentals of proper strokes, scoring, and etiquette; fun drills & games.
  
• ADVANCED BEGINNING: For players who have completed one or more Beginning classes and are ready to move on to a higher level.
  
• INTERMEDIATE: For players who know the fundamentals and are able to sustain a 4-5 ball rally; learn advanced strokes & strategy.
  
• ADVANCED: Advanced coaching and competition class for USTA players.
  
• CARDIO CONDITIONING: A hard-driving, heart-pumping workout designed to improve fitness, develop strength and flexibility, fine-tune footwork, and improve hand-eye coordination. Class will be outdoors, so dress in layers and bring your racquet.
  
• INTENSIVE TENNIS: 3.5 NTRP and above. It's all about sweat equity. A heart-pumping, ball-pounding drill session to toughen up your court movement and build your stamina. Not for the faint of heart.

PRIVATE TENNIS LESSONS: 1 or 2 PLAYERS
