When putting together a new team, try to find a sponsor - usually a business your team frequents - to help defray the cost of the league entry fee. Sponsors will sometimes pay a part or all of a league fee or supply your team with uniforms. Plan ahead, as the league entry fee is due at the time of registration, and businesses need time to prepare checks. Sponsoring is tax-deductible and good for business.
